About ExecHero · Established 2012

The company built around one extraordinary discovery.

Better decisions change everything: the clients you convert, the businesses you build, the people you lead, and the freedom you create.

This is the story of how decades in the field became the SDCC Way™, Decision Science™, and the intelligence behind ExecHero.

The beginning

We didn't begin by building software. We began by helping people win.

Since 2012, ExecHero has helped founders, executives, physicians, sales professionals, recruiters, and commercial teams improve the decisions that determine their results.

The assignments rarely looked alike. Sometimes the work meant developing a leader or teaching a sales team to convert more of the opportunities already in front of them. Other times, it meant stepping into a struggling company, rebuilding its commercial performance, or helping an ambitious organization grow at extraordinary speed.

Across more than 100 industries, the industries changed, the challenges changed, and the people changed. The fundamental questions kept returning: Why do capable people hesitate? Why do talented teams underperform? Why do some organizations execute while others stall?

Thousands of professionals have been trained through this work. The experience also exposed something no single industry could fully explain.

The problems looked different. The underlying mechanism was remarkably similar.
Where the name came from

“The ExecHero” wasn't a title I gave myself.

It was a reputation earned in difficult rooms, when the outcome mattered and the path forward wasn't obvious.

The nickname followed work with companies that needed a turnaround and teams expected to deliver more than conventional thinking could produce. Over time, it became the name of the company—and a reminder of what the work was supposed to accomplish.

Not applause for the advisor. A meaningful change in the client's results.

The turning point

One whiteboard. A lifetime of seemingly unrelated experiences.

Several years ago, I stood in front of a whiteboard and started writing down the disciplines I'd spent my life studying and practicing: sales, negotiation, leadership, entrepreneurship, turnarounds, scaling, martial arts, dog training, even day trading.

At first glance, they had little in common. Yet the more I looked, the clearer the pattern became. Every one of them depended on how someone perceived a situation, interpreted uncertainty, and chose what to do next.

Decisions. Not merely the visible choice—but the conditions that make a decision possible, delayed, or impossible.

That realization gave a name to what years in the field had been revealing. It also changed the question we were trying to answer.

The principle behind ExecHero

Organizations produce decisions. Decisions produce everything else.

Revenue. Retention. Leadership. Culture. Execution. Growth. Freedom. Every outcome follows a chain of decisions.

When a prospect doesn't buy, when a team doesn't execute, or when a company fails to adapt, the visible result is usually the end of the story—not the beginning. The real opportunity is to understand what happened upstream.

That became our defining work: improving the conditions, clarity, capability, and intelligence behind the decisions that matter most.

We call that Decision Performance™.
The science behind the outcomes

From the decision inside one person to the decisions inside an entire organization.

Two complementary disciplines emerged from years of studying what moves people and organizations from uncertainty to committed action.

Individual decision dynamics

the SDCC Way™

Subconscious-Driven, Conscious Convergence. A field-developed approach to understanding how identity, beliefs, safety, emotion, consequences, certainty, and reasoning shape the decisions people make. It informs ethical influence, sales, negotiation, and Decision Leadership.

Organizational decision dynamics

Decision Science™

A way of examining organizations through the quality, speed, alignment, and execution of their decisions. It brings a shared language to diagnosing performance constraints and improving the decisions that drive enterprise outcomes.

Different levels. One common thread: better decisions, better results.

Proof from the field

A struggling healthcare startup. An extraordinary transformation.

One of the clearest demonstrations came through the Castle healthcare story. The challenge wasn't simply to sell more. It was to help build the leadership, commercial execution, and operating capability required for a company to scale.

In under three years, the organization reached more than $100 million in annual recurring revenue and earned recognition on the Inc. 5000 with an extraordinary 25,485% three-year growth rate—ranking as the #1 fastest-growing company in Healthcare and #4 fastest-growing company Overall in America.

The award is a milestone. The more important lesson is what happens when the right decisions begin reinforcing one another across an organization.
